everyday i read about oppression
about the need for justice and for matters to be resolved
the problem is its always about events and places where we have no control or influence

i keep repeating myself on this blog..
until we do not stop oppression within our homes and families
between husband and wife
between siblings and parents and neighbours
and in our mosques and communities
we will never affect oppression elsewhere

individuals ,organisations and groups who address oppression and injustice are very popular, though they may really have very little real world impact.

but ,the worst people ,hypocrites, are those who are respected for "work" afar
but devour the wealth and flesh and rights of those near to them.

many want to be a "heroes"
but few want to "take out the trash and sweep the floor"

in a nutshell..some "brothers" have rights, but some brothers have no rights...thats the hypocrites motto.
and hypocrites dont toil where no respect is to be gained

AND ALLAH KNOWS BEST

Sure I understand what you mean. In fact I go a step further and say that Muslims, in general, are too obsessed with politics, whether it be geopolitics or the domestic politics of their homelands.
We haven’t really made viable and strong communities in the host countries we are settled in. We are living in a mentality of “self-exile”. A strong and viable community can only exist when the elders of that community take charge in the leadership role. This is the Islamic spirit that elders are intimately involved in the affairs of a community. Regrettably, our elders are usually ignored and not given an opportunity to take the leadership position.
Another problem is that the leadership of Muslim communities in the West is usually in the hands of political organizations that are focused on foreign affairs. The pro-Palestine lobby is a huge example. They have somehow become representatives of the Muslim community, and we all know they have a single focus and agenda which is Palestine, and don’t care much for anything else.
There is also the so called “Islamist” groups which have also seized leadership of Muslim communities in the West. They too have a strong focus on geopolitics and the internal affairs of Muslim countries abroad.

I have always been taught if we are a positive example in our daily life , our community and keep a positive attitude plus keep salat we can change one person at a time.

We are so worried about what everyone else is doing but we aren't worried about ourselves. Our community . How are we making ourselves better Muslims. How are we helping our community.
