I am the slave most rebellious
i am the slave drowning in an abyss
crying out for help
yet my hand i have not outstretched
i am the slave, created from dust
in my mothers womb i clung; indeed, i was the vulnerable clot
helpless, powerless, defenseless
i was clothed, fed and abundantly blessed
depending upon a Generous Lord,
born into this cruel word, i was protected
and yet, even after this,
iam weakened by desire
ungrateful wanting the world, wanting satire
iam the slave, expecting paradise,
yet oh so readily, selling it for lowly price
iam the slave ungrateful to a Lord most generous
Iam the slave most rebellious
