Hi.The first thing that I must say i that I am not muslim but I am interested i this religion. I try to don’t eat pork and don’t drink alcohol. It can sound stupid but for me it would be hard to do it. I have a friend who is a girl and I try to don’t talk with her. My sister has a dog and I try to don’t touch the dog. The case is that I haven’t said the Sahada and I don’t know much about Islam but I fear being hipocrate behaving like a non-muslim and only behave like one when I revert, wich is not sure.I am trying to read a book of Stephen Hawkings, but I think that it could be haram, I know that it could sound strange because I am non-muslim, but for me it’s hard to avoid it.My question is: should I continue doing those things even if I am not muslim? Could I read that book? Is it offensive to try to do some halal things without being muslim? Could I talk to that girl?Thanks.

No, not at all. It is totally not offensive.

Yes, you can read that book. But I would advise not to…because you are close to islaam, but your imaan is still very weak. That book could lead you away from Islaam if your understanding about Islaam is not strong enough.

Imagine, you live in a country where it is normal to plunder and steal from others…where it is normal to force women into sex without their permission etc.
One day you bump into someone who tells you that it is wrong to plunder, steal and rape
Although the things he says make sense to you, you are still not one of his people.
