This poem just left me oh: so I thought I'd share it...


Nikli mohabbat ki baat to tum yaad aa gaye
Uthe dil mein wo jazbaat ke tum yaad aa gaye
Yuun to dil mera bebas na rehta tha
Par badley jab haalat to tum yaad aa gaye

Garmi ne sukha diya tha teri yaadon ko
Huyi jab barsaat to tum yaad aa gaye

Sone chandi se bhara rehta tha yeh jism tera
khaali dekhe apne haath, to tum yaad aa gaye
Umar guzaar di tujhko bhulaa kar
Chodha zindagi ne saath to tum yaad aa gaye

When someone said something about love, I remembered you
Those feelings arose in my heart, I remembered you
Mostly my heart was not in yearning
But when my condition changed, I remembered you

The heat had dried up memories of you in me
When it started to rain, I remembered you

Your body was topped with silver and gold
When I looked at my hands and saw they were empty, I remembered you
I spent my life whilst forgetting you
When life left its companionship with me, I remembered you*
