Is this a sin? I ate the box of choclate roses and now I read their haram cos they contain alcohol?????????
 
Just don't eat anymore, you didn't know, so you did nothing wrong inshallah.. You probably should have checked the ingredients before eating them though, but khair, next time inshallah.
 
Chocolate roses, lots of chocolates sometimes have liquor in them, we always check before buying any.
 
Yah, I knew it was the chocolates. Hmmh. I suppose I ought to check. Jazakallah khair. Is there a link via which I can find out for sure?
 
This can't be true? Can it? If so the company'll have a lot of anwering to do!
 
Here is a link to a video where Sheikh Bilal Phillips discusses "when alcohol may be halal." -It's important, need to know information... A lot of us Muslims go absolute nuts if even a single atom of alcohol is in our food, and this view is kind of nonsense.

I don't know if you're joking, but the subject was about chocolate roses. Who on earth'd eat a computer? Well, i would if it was made of chocolate to answer your statement.

how do you know they've got alcohol in them? does it say it in the ingredients?
anyway, best thing to do in these situations is just ring up the company and ask if they add alcohol/haraam ingredient...

pfft, some of those things you hear about certain products containing haram ingredients are blown out of proportion..
