hello. i am an american.i was born and raised here.i dont really know much about this religon and everything. i just know i want to become a muslim. i just dont know to get started and everything. if anybody can help me out ill be real glad thank you.

Have you done your research on Islam? Have you read the Qur'an and the biography of Prophet Muhammed (Peace be upon him) ?


What makes you think you really want to become a Muslim?

Salam Ryane, I'm a new muslim, just reverted a couple of weeks ago but I spent a long time learning about it. This forum is brilliant there are lots of good people here who can guide you and answer your questions. Do you have a mosque near you? They might have a new muslims/interested group going on where you can learn more.

It's always nice to hear someone taking up an interest in Islam. Do you mind me asking why is it that you want to become a muslim? How much do you know about Islam? The first thing I'd advice you to do is look for a mosque somewhere in your neighborhood and talk to the imam there.

Its easy brother, Just say There is no God but Allah, and Muhammad{saas} is His prophet.

For the proper steps please visit Imam who will help you with the Basics of Islam. And at anytime , for any questions, Just ask us here.

Read the Quran, meet Imam at any mosque, meet some muslims, we will welcome with open arms, InshaAllah.

Ryane2222, I thought I'd bring this thread back up to the front pages now that you are back posting.

In the past couple of months have you learned any more about Islam? I would imagine if you have it has probably raised more questions.

Remember everything about Islam is based upon full disclosure about what it is. Nobody is every asked to revert to Islam without them knowing as much as they can and with it being their genuine free choice.

Learning is something we strive for. since all in life and for all eternity is based on our decisions about what we do or don't do in this life. It is much too important to act without knowing fully what we do.
