There is a saying: "as long as you are alive, your obligation is to develop your knowledge as much as you can until your time is up".

Those who claim that they have poor knowledge, know that the time is not up yet, they still have time enough for studying and before you study say "in the name of God, Most Merciful, Most Kind" and then you recite this: "O Allah, increase me in my knowledge" and put your hopes and trust in God that He will help you get developed well.

So, for those who claim this know that you don't have to worry that you have poor knowledge because you have whole life ahead of you(if God wishes) and you can still learn many things, you just have to try to put a motivation on yourself in order to study well.

There is a dua in Arabic for that:

Rabbi zidhni Ill-ma.

"Oh Allah. Advance me with knowledge.". Recite it all day long with all other incantations... insh Allah.

Jazak Allah.
