The holy Quran makes mention," And [so, O Muhammad,] they challenge thee to hasten the coming upon them of [God’s] chastisement: but God never fails to fulfill His promise - and, behold, in thy Sustainer’s sight a day is like a thousand years of your reckoning. (Al-Hajj (The Pilgrimage) 22:47), and, They will remain there for ages
" (An-Naba (The Great News) 78:23 ).
These verses state that just as there are 365 days in a year in this world, there will be 365,000 days in a year in the world of Barzakh. And in Arabic, the meaning of the word "ahkab" is "many years" or "numbers of years".The goal is that criminals will live in the afterlife for centuries because time will run out there. A person's life in this world can be counted on the figure but that will not be the case in the Hereafter. An example of this is, if Allah Almighty punishes a Muslim for just one year
in the Hereafter because of his sins, that would be a thousand years in worldly time. The punishments may vary depending on of the sins, more or less. However, according to Islamic teachings, if a Muslim has complete faith and hopes for the mercy of Allah Almighty and fears the punishment of Allah, Allah Almighty will forgive all his sins and admit him to Paradise. This is what Allah Almighty saying: ‘O you servants of Mine who have transgressed against your own selves! Despair not of God’s mercy: behold, God forgives all sins - for, verily, He alone is much-forgiving, a dispenser of grace!’ Az-Zumar (The Groups) 39:53 And the second thing that is stated in the Holy Quran for a Muslim is that Allah Almighty says that if a Muslim is a person of perfect faith and he obeys all the commands of Allah Almighty and acts on the Sunnah of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), then Allah Almighty will grant him a pure and holy life after death, which is mentioned in the Holy Quran, as Allah Almighty says: As for anyone - be it man or woman - who does righteous deeds, and is a believer withal - him shall We most certainly cause to live a good life. and most certainly shall We grant unto such as these their reward in accordance with the best that they ever did. An-Nahl (The Bee) 16:97 However, the most terrifying situation is for the polytheists, because Allah Almighty says in the Holy Quran that He will not forgive the polytheists, and He will forgive whomever He wills. For them is that what is said in the beginning of the article They will remain there for ages.
Therefore, if the polytheists want to avoid the punishment of the Hereafter and live a peaceful and peaceful life, then they should come under the banner of Islam. Insha Allah, they will get everything they want. We pray to Allah Almighty to grant us the ability to follow all His commands in accordance with the Sunnah of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). Ameen
