Is crab and catfish haram to eat?

Please help I have a question, is crab and catfish haram to eat?

And if yes which ayah in the Quran?

It's depend on which madhab. In Shafi'i madhab crab and catfish is halal. But if I am jot wrong, eating crab and catfish is haram in Hanafi.

Assalamualykum.

There is a difference of opinion amongst the scholars regarding sea creatures :

Imaam Abu Hanifa - only fish can be eaten. What ever is classified as a fish can be eaten.

Imaam shafi'e - all sea creatures are halal, irrespective of them being classified as fish or not.
