Is it permissible to lighten dark gums?

Assalamu 3aleykoum, I noticed that since I got braces, my teeth got really smaller which caused my gums to fully show when I smile. The thing is that my gums are really dark and multiple people made remarks about them. So I was wondering if its permissible to go to a dentist and ask for a gum lightening treatment which will turn them into a bright pink?

You would have to get a local Aalim/a to investigate the procedure that is your country and take it from there.
