Is this Hadith authentic?


Abdullah ibn Mughaddal said that the Messenger of Allah said: "Allah, Allah, my Companions! Do not make them a target after me. Whoever loves them, it is by my love that he loves them. Whoever hates them, incurs my gate by doing so, whoever harms them has harmed me. Whoever harms me has harmed Allah. Whoever harms Allah is about to be seized." (at-Tirmidhi)

The hadith in Arabic:

قال - -صلى الله عليه وسلم- -: الله الله في أصحابي، لا تتخذوهم غرضا بعدي، فمن أحبهم فبحبي أحبهم، ومن أبغضهم فببغضي أبغضهم، ومن آذاهم فقد آذاني، ومن أذاني فقد آذى الله، ومن آذى الله فيوشك الله أن يأخذه .

رواه الترمذي وقال: حسن غريب. ورواه أحمد في فضائل الصحابة بلفظ: اتقوا الله في أصحابي ورواه ابن حبان في صحيحه، وأورده السيوطي في الجامع الصغير، ورمز لحسنه، وقال شارحه -المناوي-: وفيه عبد الرحمن بن زياد. قال الذهبي: لا يُعرف.

The Prophet (saaws) said:

[Fear Allah] regarding my Companions. Do not treat them with bias after me. Whoever loves them, loves them because of his love for me. Whoever hates them, hates them as a result of his hatred for me. Whoever abuses them, abuses me and whoever abuses me, abuses Allah. Whoever abuses Allah, he will soon be punished. [Tirmidhi who said that it is Hasan]
