Can Istikhara be made when I don't know what I want to do and I want Allah to guide me to pick a certain thing or can Istikhara only be done when I have a certain thing I want to do in mind.
such as if I have a bunch of options for a career and I don't know which one to pick can I do Istikhara or do I have to make a certain choice first and then do it because when I read the meaning of Istikhara it seems like you only do it when you have a certain choice you have made and you put your full energy towards doing it and Allah will either open or close the doors for that choice
