I have a serious issue accepting Jannah as a place of paradise. Jannah is best described as overly hedonistic in its nature which is not bad in the slightest bit and normal for human beings but I am ascetic. I often hear videos about how great Paradise is yet to me it sounds completely awful and especially the concept of houri yet alone women.
Why makes Jannah/Paradise better then simply ceasing to exist?
