PrIM3, where do you get the idea that the Quran says Jesus[pbuh] is closer to God than Muhammed[pbuh]?

This is verse 285 of the second Surah of the Quran:

2:285. The Messenger believeth in what hath been revealed to him from his Lord, as do the men of faith. Each one (of them) believeth in Allah, His angels, His books, and His apostles. "We make no distinction (they say) between one and another of His apostles." And they say: "We hear, and we obey: (We seek) Thy forgiveness, our Lord, and to Thee is the end of all journeys."

21:91--- She...guarded her virginity, so We breathed into her of Our spirit and appointed her and her son to be a sign unto all beings

2:253-- Those Messengers, some We have preferred above others.. some He raised in rank. And We gave Jesus son of Mary the clear signs, and confirmed him with the Holy Spirit.

those are just a few.. forgive me... I said that on memory meaning I can't flip open and find the pacific verse....

well I guess I am wondering what these Quranic verse mean... apologize for my rudeness

The verse:
21:91 And (remember) her [Mary] who guarded her chastity: We breathed into her a Ruh from Us, and We made her and her son a sign for all peoples.

God says the same thing about every single human being:

32:9 But He fashioned him [the human] in due proportion, and breathed into him the Ruh from Him. And He gave you (the faculties of) hearing and sight and feeling (and understanding): little thanks do ye give!

The Ruh is the human soul. Christians who like to take verse 21:91 and similar verses as evidence of Jesus's divinity have evidently not read the Qur'an properly.
