“As for those who strive in Us, We surely guide them to Our paths, and lo! Allah is with the good. (69)
Allah connected guidance to Jihad. The most guided of mankind is he who struggles the hardest in Allah’s cause.
The most important Jihad is struggling against one’s own soul, its desires, against the Devil and the pleasure of this world.
Whoever fights against these four, then Allah guides him to the paths of His pleasure which all lead to Paradise. Likewise whoever lives Jihad; misses out on a portion of guidance equal to the amount of Jihad he has neglected.

about the meaning of this ayah) Those who fight their desires for Our Sake with repentance, then we will guide him to the paths of Ikhlaas. No one will be able to make Jihad against the outer enemy until they have fought their inner enemies. Whoever is given victory over them then they will be victorious against their enemies on the battlefield.
