Judge beats up disabled daughter for downloading movies

that is barbaric. These people don't know the meaning of moderation, either they go to one extreme or the other.

Actually, if you read the article, she had pirating software on her computer. That IS illegal, just like having DL'd music and software (that's not free or paid for) since each illegal copy means that the company and the artist didn't get a royalty.....

What makes this horrific is the fact that he was 1) a FAMILY LAW Judge and 2) that she was DISABLED. What's sad, is that she feels guilty for posting it.
 
the government he serves has pirating hardware all over iraq, afghanistan, yemen, libya ...the list goes on - he would have done good to take his belt to the capitol

hehehehe. Unfortunately, "Family Court" is considered a very low level of the Judicial Branch....so basically, he's a piddly little judge with only the "power" to make rulings (based on already existing laws and rulings) over family related issues. He doesn't have the authority to make new laws.
