Why is it when someone in the Muslim community decides that they no longer believe in there faith that they are shunned and even face being
Ostracised,beaten up or murdered, butchered and slaughtered,Why do some preach this hatred and intolerance of free speech and free will, after all we are born in to this world free of all religions and beliefs it is the families and communities that indoctrinate and brainwash,enforced to follow the family and community beliefs, oppression and brainwashing from birth, results in a good Muslim, or a good Jew, or Catholic or Hindu,etc but as a few become aware of this situation and make a choice for once in there lives to become non believers and live there lives free from any religion, they are shunned by their families and friends and the wider community, and there country of origin becomes a dangerous place to visit, if it is discovered they are not following the word of Islam they face being shunned, and there lives can be at risk, torture and murdered.

Free will, free speech, the freedom to believe in any or no religion is our right.

My personal values is to respect a persons right to choose for themselves what they believe in or what not to believe in.
To force someone to
Surrender is oppressive to expect someone to be submissive and compliant, to enforced and dominated, to have the ultimate power and control, over another human being is wrong beyond words.
Untill recently I always thought this behaviour was only by a few extremist and not by most however having learned that it is the majority who hold these views has shocked me and angered me, hence I post this for clarity if any of this post is incorrect.

I have always respected the rights of others to practise and have religion , but now I fear that has changed, I see this oppressive regime as dangerous.

Just like you, I am also willing to risk my life and die for what I believe in. If I can prove my faith in our Beloved Master, the One God by getting tortured and murdered, then so be it. We should be grateful to the Most Merciful for him to allow us to prove our faith. What a greater honour could there exist than to be martyred for the singular God? Is there any greater honour than that?

Welcome to the forum Gordon, it's good to have you hear asking about Islam and seeking an understanding rather than believing misinformation media spreads in the west.

While there is a punishment for apostasy in Islam. It isn't a witch hunt with spies and all that paranoia of hunting down people. I believe the punishment is there to deter such people from causing fitna (trouble). Apostasy in theology based governance is akin to treason and if that person starts making trouble in public, inviting others to the same path and making noise then of course he will be arrested and punished by the law. If it's all private then no one knows and no one cares. And he will face his Maker with what is coming to him.

Well maybe you have been brainwashed into your beliefs. Think outside the square, let's say you were born a Roman citizen during the Pagan Roman Empire, would you have those PC Western Liberal beliefs you have now? As you seem to conform to modern UN "rights" as a Roman you would probably complain about slaves costing too much and not enough violence and debauchery at the Circus Maximus and of course the gods would be a very important part of your life. You are just a conformist product of your time, like most people.

Islam is not a regime it is a total package. There is nothing to fear from it, only the evil megalomaniacs that may wield it for their gains. But evil infiltrates everywhere on Earth and can wear all faiths and none.

The Prophet :saws: taught us that every child is born on the 'fitrah' (human natural disposition to worship Allah alone); this means that he is free from wrong beliefs and is prepared to accept the truth and correct belief, but it is the parents who influence the child into other belief systems.

There is no compulsion in ACCEPTANCE of Religion says the Noble Quran http://legacy.quran.com/2/256 and we practically see Prophet and his companions never forced Islam on anyone but once its accepted it should be with UTMOST Sincerity and not as said in this verse by The All Knower of Hearts , Allah the Creator

Noble Quran 3:72 '' And a faction of the People of the Scripture say [to each other], "Believe in that which was revealed to the believers at the beginning of the day and reject it at its end that perhaps they will abandon their religion,''

Yes Islam is not a Public toilet you come anytime and leave anytime and leave the washings ( Apostates spewing of untrue criticisms intentionally ) to the Muslims . But there could be ups & down in the Faith when some new Muslim may succumb to doubts waswasa but they will be taught Islam and their doubts being cleared and all those punishments is done with Clear cut proof from a Sharia Court in a State with Sharia Law and cannot be done any Common Muslim Man on just suspicions & assumptions. So that A New comer to Islam need not fear if he is really sincere .
