A good way to kill a thread is to quote a post and then reply to it in an unrelated manner.

Perhaps we can determine here which of us is the best thread killer on this forum. When I was a regular poster on some Ebay forums, I thought I was the uncontested champion at that. Did I just kill this thread?

A thread dies, not because of a particular person, but just because whatever was needed to be said, has been said already; your post was soo good, no one could top it with another reply; or the topic just gets old and you just move on with life, don't get depressed over it inshallah

Aww dont get disheartened, instead of thinking of it as killing the thread, why dont you see it in a positive manner and think that whatever the topic was you ended the discussion, because you showed everyone the solution/conclusion, and your answer was to good for them to argue or answer back to. There was nothing left to say, because you said it in the best way possible
