Prophet Muhammad pbuh said: “Indeed amazing are the affairs of a believer! They are all for his benefit. If he is granted ease then he is thankful, and this is good for him and if he is afflicted with a hardship, he perseveres, and this is good for him” [Al-Bukhari]
The two state of life of human being is described in the above hadith. So often we take for granted the things that we have with us. However, we live each day not knowing what tomorrow holds for us but knowing that God holds all our tomorrows. As per the nature of life, our situation change with the time rotation. Any turn of our life fills us up with the either of the two extremes – happiness and ease or despair or hardship. If it’s the ‘contentment and pleasure’ side we are put into, we cherish it and know splendidly to handle it too. But when we are confronted by situations of 'despair and hopelessness', many remain unequipped to handle the scenario and end themselves into bewildering consequences. The prophet Muhammad pbuh has elobrated how to act in such situations.
When we are at ease, we should be thankful and grateful that is the key to happiness. When gratitude is practiced regularly and from the heart, it leads to a richer, fuller and more complete life… It is impossible to bring more abundance into your life if you are feeling ungrateful about what you already have. Why? As there are so many human being who are deprived of these things which we enjoy in our lives. We should be grateful that we are not tested like others. Because the thoughts and feelings we emit as we feel. If we are grateful will value the blessings, that will attract more of those feelings and events into your life.
It's the fact that the stronger your immune system, the greater its ability to fight disease. Since it defends the body from developing potentially harmful diseases and conditions caused by bacterial, parasitic, fungal and viral infections. Similiarly, if we are facing any kind of hardship or trials, then we need to learn how to endure it, showing patience and gratitude in such circumstances, sadness and worry will disappear or at least feel lighter. Emanating positive vibes, can overcome our situation in a better way. Because these are just temporary phase of life. Human being should appreciate their life better in all condition.
It is a faith in the Creator for a life to live with the challenges that it brings in. We do not destroy the plants of beautiful roses for they have thorns. Thorns are there to protect the flowers so as the problems and challenges in life make us strong and bring closer to the Creator. Keeping spirits high and trusting the decision of God along with seeking his mercy is the only way to face this phase of life till it changes. If we are mindful that God has control over all things and is our well-wisher who loves us the most, we can leave our sadness and worry behind. And we are truly here for a short time. As the saying goes "Tough Times Never Last but Tough People Do". Lets put our trust in God and continue our journey of life.
"[He] who created death and life to test you [as to] which of you is best in deed - and He is the Exalted in Might, the Forgiving -" (Qur'an 67 : 2)
And God the exalted, is the source of All-power.
