Listening Quran while working is Allowed or Not?

is it permissable to listen Quran while doing some other work .. or its not allowed?

I am told as long as there is someone listening it is ok. Just don't have it playing in an empty room.

I don't know about allowed or not allowed but you really cannot concentrate 100% on both the work and Quran recitation at the same time.
