Contrary to original suspicion, July 7 London bombings were planned on a shoestring budget from information on the internet and had no link to Osama Bin Laden’s Al Qaeda network, UK’s The Observer on Sunday quoted a government report as saying.

The first forensic account of last year’s bombings, expected to be published in the next few weeks, will say that the brutal attacks that hit London, killing 52 people were the product of a "simple and inexpensive" plot hatched by four British bombers.

Citing the government's definitive report on the blasts, The Observer stated that the four men browsed "terror Websites" and the bombs they used cost only a few hundred pounds (dollars).

Patrick Mercer, shadow homeland security spokesman, expects the official inquiry findings to lead to calls to launch an independent probe to answer further questions surrounding 7 July.

The British government rejected repetitive calls to launch a full public inquiry into last year attacks, which drew criticism from families of the victims, the public, politicians and peace groups.

According to the inquiry, there was no "fifth bomber" as reports initially stated after an explosive knapsack was found in the car used by the four attackers and abandoned at a station north of London.

Siddique Khan, Hasib Hussain, Shehzad Tanweer and Jermaine Lindsay were the four bombers, charged of carrying out London attacks.

Three of the attackers are British-born men of Pakistani origin, and the fourth was born in Jamaica.
The inquiry dismissed a tape of Khan that emerged following London attacks, which also featured Osama Bin Laden’s deputy Ayman al-Zawahari.

"The Home Office believes the tape was edited after the attacks," The Observer added.

To be honest if we sit here trying to figure these attacks out ..truth is we never will
