Marital rape, also known as spousal rape, is non-consensual sex in which the perpetrator is the victim's spouse. In Islam, does the Sharia recognize marital rape as a crime? I understand that in Islam both husband and wife are obliged to satisfy each other sexually. However, what if a wife chooses not to have sex for that particular night. Maybe because she is tired, etc. The husband then forcefully has sex with her against her will. Is that allowed in Islam?
