Medical students

Is it permissable for Islamic medical students to learn the anatomy of the opposite gender? I have heard that some refuse to do so.

lots of Muslim doctors in the world.. nothing I have heard about it being impermissible..
anatomy is a clinical course not an erotic one!

I was thinking the same thing. I had just read somewhere I cannot remember where that some devout believers refused to learn it so because they will not treat opposite sex patients since it could involve touching unrelated people.

I promise you I have encountered some very heavily bearded practicing brothers who are doctors.. I haven't encountered anyone talking about touching unrelated people.. again it is a clinical thought .. it is health care not a brothel!
