Meet the Somali Taxi Driver Who Drives a £280,000 Rolls-Royce

Maxamud is a Somali who lives in London and drives a £280,000 Rolls-Royce.

He came to the UK as a refugee and began working as an ordinary taxi driver after college. After much hard work, he opened his own taxi firm.

Now, Maxamud drives a blue Rolls-Royce taxi, a colour he chose to match the colour of Somalia’s flag. His customers include football players and millionaires from the Middle East.

Somali news site Dalsoor caught up with him where he discussed his life. What’s worth noting is his frequent mention of Allah who he thanks for the blessings in his life and business.

A lesson we can learn from Maxamud is that there is nothing wrong with earning wealth as long as we are thankful to Allah and we don’t allow riches to make us forget Him.

It's interesting how the brother comments the police used to stop him when he used to drive 'cheap' cars but don't anymore because he's in a 'rich' car.

So what kind of message does this give out to the public?

If you don't want to get stopped by the police buy/hire an expensive car :facepalm:.
