I explicitly asked a man I’m getting to know for marriage if he took mortgage on his new home. I explicitly said I’m against mortgages as it’s against Islam due to riba etc. he whole heartedly says he rents from a private landlord and he doesn’t have mortgage. I have come to find out that he infact owns the property and does have a mortgage. Is it fair to end this talking stage even tho he’s serious about marriage.
