well, do u have a good knowledge about Arabic ? because there is much resemblance in Urdu & Arabic alphabets!

while it's true that urdu uses a modified form of the arabic alphabet as well as a number of arabic words - it is very different. urdu is an indo-european language.
i've been trying to teach myself urdu for the last 3 years. it is a very beautiful language.
