My Land!

I hear the cannons that roar,
& i have faith in Allah,
I have no guns to fire with,
& i don't know how long i'm gonna live
With all these bombs coming down on my land
& not many people giving a hand

Every day i see tanks ready to kill
day by day people are becoming ill
They're gonna kill us one by one
& then they're gonna take our land
Many of us are too weak to fight
Oh Allah! give us your light

There's nothing we can do
no where we can hide
i sit here in the pouring rain
i have nothing to lose or gain
every minute is like an hour
every day is like a year
i see people lying in the street
& children in cardboard boxes trying to sleep
i very rarely eat any food
& i never hear any good news

Too many of us have died
when is someone gonna answer our cries??
i wait patiently for someone to come
someone to take me out of this slum

i want the sun to shine bright
& the rainbow to colour the sky
i want the stars to twinkle at night
& i wanna be lifted high

I want the hungry to be fed
& the orphans sleeping in a bed
i want money for the poor
& justice for us all
But most of all i want my land

I know one day we're gonna win
& i know for sure that day is coming
But there's still sometime we need to wait
& remember in Allah's hands in our fate!
