as for poetry, just write, write, and write some more, don't 'try' to make the poem all nice and such you'll just ruin it, write what ever you feel, face, experiance, know, anything then if you want you can go over it later, rhyming as brother fighting4imaan said isn't as important as the flow and good rhythm,

Sometimes reading a lot..causes people to become good writers. I mean u learn how to put wat u feel into words. That way, Wat u write can become poetry/letter.

U can write about anything u like, it can be anything. Passion can do amazing things to literature.
