One day Thomas Edison came home and
gave a paper to his mother. He told her, “My teacher gave
this paper to me and told me to only give it to my mother.”
.
His mother’s eyes were tearful as she read the letter out
loud to her child: Your son is a genius.

This school is too small for him and doesn’t have enough
good teachers for training him. Please teach him yourself.
.
After many, many years, Edison’s mother died and he
was now one of the greatest inventors
of the century, one day he was looking through old family
things.
.
Suddenly he
saw a folded paper in the corner of a
drawer in a desk. He
took it and opened it up.
.
On the paper was written: Your son is
addled [mentally ill].
We won’t let him come to school any
more.
.
Edison cried for hours and then he
wrote in his diary
.
“Thomas Alva Edison was an addled child that, by a hero
mother, became the genius of the century.”
.
Never Give up. Be confident. Remember
any battle is won twice – FIRST IN YOUR HEAD

So true, never give up and keep moving forward :).

“I have missed more than 9,000 shots in my career. I have lost almost 300 games. On 26 occasions I have been entrusted to take the game winning shot, and I missed. I have failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.” - Michael Jordan

Michael Jordan's quote of that is one of my favorites. It makes me think that I am not different from this legend. I someday I could also have a name like his that is known and respected. I don't know about that story of Thomas Edison. Anyway, thanks for posting, it's kinda nice. Albert Einstein is really a cool man. :D

The right way of never give up is learn from mistake that we have done then do it again in the better way, not repeat the same mistake again and again.

:)

The love of mother is unfathomable.Edison was a genius by birth though but his mother was a highly sagacious lady. She understood him well and she developed his innate qualities which changed him into 'a Genius' And Genius are never satisfied until they achieve their target.
