I am a new shahada and I do not have a community or network of Muslims I can lean on so I turn here to learn every thing I can, about marriage, what is haram what isn't, how a muslim women supposed to conduct herself and how to get an wali

Being a revert myself I understand some of the difficulties one initially faces being the only Muslim in an area.

While online resources are a large help. one does benefit from contact with an Islamic community. At this point begin looking for a Masjid near you. An online google search may help with that.

Also when out shopping in a store like Wal-Marts keep your eye open for sisters wearing Hijabs. Greet one with As-Salaamu Alaikum. You may soon find a Sister to help you.

Also keep active on forums but also be very careful with giving out any personal information. In this world sometimes people online are not what they claim to be.

There are many masjids here in Philadelphia, Sister. I see it's been a long time since you last posted, but did you get a chance to visit and contact any of them?
