New, trying to find the right religion

Hello. I am an older woman who has lived in the United States all my life.
I was raised in the Christian tradition and have been in and out of the Christian church all my life. Sometimes I just can't keep to it. I pretty much believe in God but some of the details of Christianity are just hard for me to believe, although I do try. So I'm looking around again, hoping to find something I won't have as much trouble believing and staying with.
All I want is the truth. I want to know what God is really like and what He really wants.
Maybe I shouldn't go into this too much on the introduction thread. :) I'll post a question thread soon.

I also believe in god. I’m a Christian, I was raised Catholic.
I’m from France and I ask myself questions about some details of my religion (I joined this forum yesterday).


I don’t really know why I’m posting this message, maybe just to tell you that I can totally relate and that I hope you will find the answers you’re looking for.


Also, thanks to your post and thanks to those who kindly reply, I found some interesting ressources (even though some links that would have interest me are broken)
