Nikah

Well my topic is on nikkah. My parents have already performed my nikah with my husband. We got married on November 2007 and insha Allah this May 2008 both sides; girl's side & boy's side, will do the walimah respectively. I've not yet consummate my nikkah and I'm still studying (this year is my last year in college). Is is allowed to such nikkah?

I don't think a Nikkah has to consummated for it to be valid. Nikah is just nikah.

Nikkah - Consummation - Waleema

IN that order, so Allahu a'lam
