As-Salaam alaikum,
Observed the Noble Messenger of Allah, Sallallahu alaihi Wasallam:--
"You shall not enter Paradise and you will not believe until you love one another. Shall I direct you to a thing which if you do it, it will foster love amongst you? Give currency to 'As-Salaam alaikum" (Sahih Muslim Book 1, Hadith 96).
Spreading peace among one another is much more than the outward greeting of ' As-Salaam alaikum... Peace be upon you. '
This is just the beginning. When we are truly at peace within ourselves then we will be spreading that peace to others. This is spreading peace outwardly from within us - - for no one will love you except the one that you have given peace to in every one of your/our states.
We must believe and feel that both our existence and the existence of whom we greet with 'As-Salaam alaikum' are by Divine Cause.. We exist at His Pleasure, Tabaraka Wa Ta'ala.
