no perfume?

I just did the Zuhr after wudu and after wudu I went to put some handcream on but stopped beforehand and decided against it.

I do have non scented handcream at home but here at work I only have my coconut lime stuff that I love the smell of.

I think I read somewhere that you should not wear perfume when praying because it is a distraction?

Is that right or could I have put the handcream on?:?

it is fine to put on perfume when at home, it has not to do with praying, but rather when a woman goes out she should not wear as others may and will smell.

It's haraam for a women to beautify here self when in public veiw, so i guess perfume would come under that.

There is nothing wrong in a woman applying perfum whilst she is at her home. She can put perfum on even when praying. Putting perfum on is good for the soul

But avoid it when you are outside your house (you shouldn't have it on then)
