if we can make dua for a non Muslim to be guided,why would u think we are not allowed to make dua for a non Muslim to get better?obviously we don't want them to die without iman.so make dua so that she/he doesn't die that soon and make dua that Allah guide her/him.sorry i haven't checked any hadith about it.but it is common sense and Islamic basic courtesy
