Asalamu Alaikum to all who read this.
I reverted back in April and every day has been beautiful and challenging. I'm working a new job that I'm at during Asr' and Maghrib prayer, and I want to accomplish these prayers on time. We are encouraged to pray anywhere and I want to fulfill that, but there are a lot of restrictions in place. A big obstacle is that there is nowhere clean, quiet or private to pray. I work as a dishwasher in a small restaurant in Phoenix Arizona. It's blazing hot outside in a run down area, so going outside isn't a safe option. There's nowhere in the restaurant for me to do the prayer as usual. Today I resorted to praying in my small dish area. It's tucked away from the rest of the kitchen and I'm not bothered back here, but it's filthy. I am unable to fully prostrate and so during the prostrations I stayed in the bowing position. I know it is the intention that matters, and I want to pray no matter what, but I'm worried that how I'm doing it will dismiss my prayer. I could save my prayers till I get home but it's overwhelming to finish a long shift and then spend that long away praying when my family needs me at home. It's difficult to balance doing my best and figuring out what I could be doing more of to accomplish these things in a better way. Any suggestions, corrections, advice, knowledge or assurances are incredibly welcome.
Thank you and be well.
