Do you sing along to twinkle twinkle littel star, row row your boat and others with your children?

Have you ever considered replacing certain words to make them a little more islamic?

these are a few we sing at our mother and toddler group, some you may have heard of others may be new to you....

Twinkle Twinkle Little Star
Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, Who Has Made You What You Are?
Shining Over Land And Sea, Higher Than The Tallest Tree,
Allah Has Made You And Me, Like The Star So Perfectly. (x2)

Row Row Row Your Boat
Drive Drive To The Masjid To Pray Our Salah,
Fajar, Duhr, Asr, Mugrib, A(h)nd Isha(x2)

Other
In this one i will use the name Maryam and for the boys version i will use Mustafa - but you can obviously use you own childs name...

Maryam, Maryam Its A Lovely Day,
Maryam, Maryam Are You Coming To Pray?
Maryam Put Her Hijab On, And Told Her Mummy She Won't Be Long,
And She'll Be Wainting On The Prayer Mat...(x2)

Mustafa, Mustafa Its A Lovely Day,
Mustafa, Mustafa Are You Coming To Pray?
Mustafa Put His Kamees On, And Told His Mummy He Wont Be Long,
And He'll Be Wainting At The Masjid.

Inshallah You Enjoy,
Ma'a Salam

yh i have tried it and subhanallah, but then again it could also be coinsidence, and allah knows best.

Whether it's bad or not, one thing is for sure: its somewhat meaningless. I think SoundVision has some good rhymes, like for example: Three good mice was turned into three good boys. And the boys were praying in straight lines etc. Very motivational. I used to listen to it when iw as younger.

Finally found some Islamic nursery rhymes!!!

This book is great!!

Submission to Allah

O my Allah,
We pray to You
In all we say,
In all we do.
Keep us humble,
Always true
Along the path
That leads to You.

Trust in Allah

Your world
May be dark as night
Nothing seen,
Nothing in sight;
Trust in Allah,
Hold on tight.
The night will pass
There will be light.

*****

The Call of Mu`adhdhin

The mu`adhdhin calls,
Let's go and pray;
It's time to leave,
Our work and play.
And time to rise
From cozy beds,
To bow in prayer
Our humble heads.

1 little, 2 little, 3 little Muslims.

7 little, 8 little, 9 little, 10 little Muslim boys. (or girls)

Itsy bitsy spider crawled up the water spout.

Allah sent down the rain and washed the spider.

Allah sent out the sun and dried up all the rain.

And the itsy bitsy spider crawled up the spout again
