not sure if this is the right section for this

I am interested in learning about Islam..i know bits and pieces but i want to learn more inshaa-Allah...but am new at this so am turnin to my bortheres and sisters in lslam to help me out ...The thing is that with so many online courses i dont know which ones to do and which was to avoid .i.e not sunni. i was wondering if the brother/sister could advise me ..i dont want to lose my way in this journey to Allah SWT,...

There a organisation called myfik.org runned by Abu Taubah..which am doing the internet arabic lesson.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sNmYP...related..There are few courses on his site...http://myfiks.org/the-fiks-courses ...i was wonderign whether they are okey do do.

Theres also sunnipath...http://www.sunnipath.com/academy/online/...

If these arent ok colud you please suggest somethin..

Jazak-Allah Kahir

I have my reservations about sunnipath. In one fatwa, they allow calling on/invoking other than Allah, specifically dead people: qa.sunnipath.com/issue_view.asp?HD=7&ID=3752&CATE=24

I have no idea about the other one you mentioned.

Try this one, the Islamic Online University, which is run by Dr Abu Ameenah Bilal Phillips: http://islamiconlineuniversity.com/diploma/

If you want, you don't have to do a diploma, but can do single modules that you might want to do. Have a browse around all the parts of the site. I remember some other members here saying that you can do the modules at your own pace (but there is a limit). There is a course facilitator for each module if you have questions/need help, and you get a certificate. And it (the diploma and single modules from it) is all free.

You can also do a BA in Islamic Studies, but that's not free.

Perhaps other members may also have some good suggestions.
