Organ Donation

I watched sumet on t.v today about shortage of organ donars andhow the law may change to,u have to sign a card statingu DO NOT want to be a donar rater than U DO,because many people want to be but just don't get round to signing the card.

I wondered is it ok in islam to donate your organs when u die?

i myself am going ot be a organ donor. Of course only when im dead dead. No premature pulling the plug on my comatose body.
