My name is Sophia and I am a mom and wife. I very recently converted to Islam and have come from a strong Christian background and still love and respect the faith of Christianity very very much. But I find even more answers in Islam. I live in a remote community in Canada. I hope to find connections on this site and discover even more about Islam here.

Christianity and Islam are pretty close if you remove the lies that are attributed to Allah (SWT) and Prophet Esa/Jesus(PBUH) and only consider Prophet Esa/Jesus(PBUH) to be a man and Messenger which is all he(PBUH) said and only preached worship of Allah (SWT) since Christianity was for a time from Allah until it got corrupted by its people.

I found it really surprising and not many people know that Prophet Esa/Jesus(PBUH) prayed like we do (prostrating - Sajdah) and even said Assalam-u-Alaykum (peace be unto you!) as a greeting.

The Holy Quran is a protector of all the old books that came from Allah (SWT) such as Injeel(Bible)/Torah(Jews) as their true message is preserved in Holy Quran and its protection is promised by the Almighty Allah so it is impossible to be corrupted by anyone. Hence you will find all the answers in Holy Quran and in fact, it is such a book of miracles that if you study it you will find that its every verse (Ayat meaning sign) is a miracle.
