A man of great wealth strolled down the street.
A begger so poor fell to the road by his feet.
The Rich man in shock shouted "Poor man are you Dead?"
The poor man replied "I am only sad for I have no food for my children who need to be fed."
The rich man reached into his wallet and pulled out a handful of money,
handing to the poor man he said "take this and for your children get food, milk and honey,"
The poor man, handed it back and with these words said "Thank You Sir, but it is more than I need."
The poor man with gentle wisdom told the Rich man the excess would lead him to greed.
The rich man thought a moment, then threw his wallet into the road,
Along side the begger man down the walk he now strolled.
The begger looked up and said "Kind sir why did you throw away your wealth and take me as your friend?"
The rich man said "Because you showed me I had wealth but you were rich. From you I learned a lesson without end."
