Historically, this substance was quite expensive for the worlds' premier chemical companies to dispose of - but in the 50's and 60's - Alcoa and the entire aluminum industry - with a vast overabundance of the toxic waste - SOMEHOW sold the FDA and our government on the insane (but highly profitable) idea of buying this poison at a 20,000% markup and then injecting it into our water supply as well as into the nation's toothpastes and dental rinse. Yes that's right folks, a 20,000% markup. Consider also that when sodium Fluoride is injected into our drinking water, its level is approximately 1 part-per-million (ppm), but since we only drink ½ of one percent of the total water supply, the hazardous chemical literally 'goes down the drain' and voila - the chemical industry has not only a free hazardous waste disposal system - but we have also PAID them handsomely in the process!!

JazakAllah khayr for the article Brother. I'm sick of how harmful chemicals are added in everything and drugs are prescribed for everything nowadays. And people who used home remedies successfully for centuries, have ditched them in favour of drugs. Every time we hear of a sick relative in Pakistan, we find they had been to hospital for a drip. You have a headache, you go and get yourself attached to a drip. You have tummy ache you go get a drip. Your toe hurts you get a drip. No please get a grip not a drip folks! Not saying there aren't genuine times when it's needed like in cases of dehydration. But otherwise the drip is the cure to all ills for them.

I remember as a child hearing elders say that tablet's cause heat in the liver. Of course I didn't know what it meant except that it didn't sound too good - until I learnt from a Chinese Medicine course how harmful this is. Two women died recently after overdosing on Paracetamol. The OD was that they took a normal dose of paracemol with another medication that also contained the drug. That OD was sufficient to cause liver failure, since their livers had already been weakened by the years of use of the drug. So it makes me mad when I see our elders now ditching natural cures for drugs. One of the most effective remedies for migraines is to tie the head with a cloth as tight as you can. This is what the Prophet salallahu alayhi wasallam used to do. It drains the excess blood from the veins in the head and relieves the pain. I used to see women doing this, but now? A rag around the head clashes with the latest suit, so popping pills is more their style guess.

We should use natural remedies whenever possible unless it's an absolute emergency. When Allah revealed the verse regarding foods permissible to us, He in His Wisdom and Mercy, told us to eat foods that are not only pure but good. Haram things are prohibited because they are impure and harmful. The Prophet salallahu alayhi wa sallam forbade killing frogs for medicinal purposes and the author of al Qanoon said, 'Eating the meat or blood of frogs might cause swelling sin the body, pale colour and uncontrollable ejaculation until death. This is why doctors hesitate to use it for medicinal purposes because of its harm.'

Also if we read the entire book about the Prophetic medicines, we will see that the Prophet forbade using harmful things as medicine, and despite encouraging seeking medicine to treat disease, not once did he mention the use of anything that is harmful. Allah has made foods a source of nourishment, vitality and healing. Include this with the healing Allah has placed in the Quran, duaa, Prophetic medicine, and you can almost feel the benefits that can be harnessed from these means.

Therefore we should avoid harmful things in all their forms, and make every effort to resist drugs unless it becomes a matter of life and death in which case Islam has made concessions to preserve life as a great blessing from Allah subhana wa ta 'ala.

Not all people suffer from these side effects - or the side effects may not be linked to the drug and go unreported. But one thing is certain, that all allopathic drugs are extremely toxic and the liver recognizing them as poisons tries to eliminate them from the body. But although the liver is capable of repairing itself, it will eventually become weak/damaged and be unable to function properly.
So although there's no doubt about the effectiveness of drugs, they don't come without harm and so should be avoided as much as one possibly can.

what is this issue we seem to have - that when government inconsistencies are questioned - they are labelled "conspiracy theories" but when the controlled media come out with totally fabricated lies about imaginary conspiracies, they are not even labelled conspiracy theories, but taken as fact?
doesn't this prove that this is a label and no longer an objective term?

Ms Milner’s case was about whether or not the SHA acted legally in making its decision (back in February 2009) to fluoridate the water in Southampton and some of the surrounding areas, despite opposition from 72% of the respondents in the public consultation.

Plans to add fluoride to tap water in a major city were endorsed by a judge yesterday despite overwhelming public opposition.

Mr Justice Holman rejected claims that the decision-making process was defective and dismissed a legal challenge to the scheme in Southampton.

Hampshire council and three quarters of residents oppose the plans drawn up by the strategic health authority. But dentists say the scheme will cut tooth decay in children.

Just 10 per cent of England’s water is fluoridated, covering 5.5million people, mainly in the North East and West Midlands. The last fluoridation scheme was introduced in 1985.

Refusing a claim for judicial review by Southampton mother-of-three Geraldine Milner, the judge said there had been no illegality.

‘It is important to stress that our democratic Parliament decided long ago that water can, in certain circumstances, be fluoridated,’ he added.

‘It is not the law that fluoridation can occur only when a majority of the local population agree. Parliament has firmly entrusted area-specific decision making to the relevant strategic health authority.’
