Yes Pork is allowed only in the most extreme circumstances and only if there is no other food available

The below verse confirms

Yusuf Ali chapter 16:115

He has only forbidden you dead meat, and blood, and the flesh of swine, and any (food) over which the name of other than Allah has been invoked. But if one is forced by necessity, without wilful disobedience, nor transgressing due limits,- then Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

As you can see that if you are forced by necessity and without willful disobedience . then Allah will forgive you for the consumption

:sl: I can't imagine a situation in my life where a person would find 'pork' but nothing else, if one is on a trail and lost somewhere the chances of finding bugs to eat are more probable than pork just lying around or even a wild hog for that matter .. al7mdlillah that our religion is a religion of ease, but scientifically speaking one is more likely to die of thirst than hunger, and if one can find fresh water then fish is sure to be there and some scattered plants as well.. May Allah swt save us from tribulations of having to break his commandments..
