Hello, I'm really interested in Islam, and really would like to accept it, however there are a few verses that are holding me back.
The first is the verse on the production of Semen. This is the verse:
"Now let man but think from what he is created! He is created from a drop emitted - Proceeding from between the backbone and the ribs:" S. 86:5-7
Just wondering how you guys have come to terms with this verse. I am a medical student, so any scientific ideas would be appreciated. I have read that this verse is referring to the blood supply of the testicles, which, I agree does come from that area in the body. This however, seems like kind of a stretch to me. I have also read that it is referring to the seminal vesicles, but these would be located below the rib cage. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
