I heard a story once that Nabi Aqdas sallallahu alaihi wa salam was once tending his flock of sheep and a poor boy came to him and asked him if he could have one sheep whereupon Nabi sallallahu alaihi wa salam gave him the entire flock of sheep. The boy was so impressed that he went to his people and told them that Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wa salam has to be a true prophet because no ordinary person is this generous. This is a beautiful story but unfortunately i cannot find a hadith reference for it. could somebody who knows please help me out?
