Protection from innovations

Assalamualaikum

I am always afraid of involving in bidahs. The place were I live there are so many innovations :exhausted . I used to live in a muslim country when I was a child. There I was not worried so much about it because there we used to celebrate nothing except eids but after shifting to my home country I often get confused but I try my best to keep myself away from innovations. I don't want to start a debate about innovations. I wanted to know whether there are any hadiths in which any deeds are there through which we will be protected from involving in innovations.

May Allah save us from involving in innovations.

I cannot recall any hadiths on protection from innovations..your fear of Allah and not wanting to get involve in innovations is a strong protection..May Allah make it easy on you.

I know what you mean, ive broken away from quite a few these last few months. I dont know of any hadiths, but all i do is look for evidence of whether its ok to celebrate, what others are doing. Muslims only celebrate eids anyway, anything else, should go unoticed. There is so much biddah tbh where I live.

Keep reciting this Du'a:

اللَّهُمَّ أَرِنَا الْحَقَّ حَقًّا، وَارْزُقْنَا اتِّبَاعَهُ، وَأَرِنَا الْبَاطِلَ بَاطِلًا، وَارْزُقْنَا اجْتنِاَبَهُ، وَلَا تَجْعَلْهُ مُلْتَبِسًا عَلَيْنَا فَنَضِلَّ، وَاجْعَلْنَا لِلْمُتَّقِينَ إِمَامًا

O Allah! Show us the truth as truth, and bestow adherence to it on us. Show us the evil as evil, and make us stay away from it, and do not confuse us regarding the reality of evil so that we will not be led astray by it, and make us leaders for the believers.
