whats "these" books anyway? the quran is unlike the bible or other scriptures, stop trying to compare them.

As an atheist I have no reason to believe that. All I see is another group of religious people making claims from another text and claiming it spoke prophecy, after something happened or as discovered. The Christians do the same thing. As does the Nostradamus crowd.

I'd be far more impressed if Muslim scientists from a few centuries ago came up with the Big Bang Theory, because according to you they knew it all along.

Don't be obtuse. You said its there for all muslims to see in the Quran. Are you admitting that muslims only "realized" it was speaking about the universe coming from a single point (big bang) AFTER you read about the Big Bang theory? If so, that pretty much ends your case.

Muslims have always excelled in Astronomy (amongst other topics) pls. pick a history and a science book sometime.. Not sure why Muslims even entertain this nonsense.. an atheist comes up with a conjecture and then it spirals into 18 pages of uneducated opinions?

This thread has gone on for 18 useless pages. Perhaps a better choice of topic would have been "Why do theists believe in Allaah(swt) ie God?

The world consists of 3 major groups of people Theists, Atheists and Agnostics.

Atheists have not seen anything that convinces them in the existence of a diety. It is doubtful many if any ever will. It is pointless to attempt to offer any proof they would find acceptable. to an atheist no nothing is sufficient to prove the existence of a supreme being, to the theist no proof is necessary.

Last word, end of discussion.
