I overheard a conversation between two people and they were discussing about the two, qiyamah and akhirah. It was just a short moment before both, them and i went our separate ways hence depriving me of their conclusion.... But it got me thinking, am i sure of my understanding or is it something i have taken for granted but actually misunderstood.

I always assumed qiyamah being the 'moments' that this world as we know it ends and we enter the new realm. Almost like qiyamah is a door we enter akhirah, the place we stay, where will be judged....

Yaumul Qiyama = Day of standing which refers to Judgement day. Akhira is Hereafter which could be referring to after judgement day also.

I've read a person's akhira starts the moment after death. I've searched for a hadith but can't find it. If someone knows of this hadith, please post it here.

I recently read that we will be questioned about our faith at death. Our deeds will be accounted when all are resurrected again..
