are they just demons? a friend of mine recommended treatment. what does this entail?
 
Allah has created men and jinn so that they may worship him alone(51:56)They all have different religions,fall in love and go on about their normal days. They do posses people but obviously for a reason( love, revenge, through evil eye, black magic,etc.) And the only treatment is Ruqya(Quran).

Don't go to all these raqis unless your case is severe or you're a covert if not do self ruqya it's better. Do diagnosis again so you can be 100% convinced. So to check for sihr again what you do is you sincerely ask Allah to show you and make tawbah. You get a bottle of water and recite al falaq and repeat the 4th ayah until you get a reaction.
 
yeah its severe. multiple people have seen it and I have shown symptoms. I have tried the water and it worked, yet it seems to be binding me and pulling me away from Allah
 
I know a brother who specializes in self ruqya and he is on YouTube and whatsapp if you have any questions you can ask him inshallah.
 
Also watch the self ruqya videos online sorry if I'm not much help.
