I watched a video on the etiquettes of dua by an Islamic channel....it said 1) you have to start by praising Allah swt and 2) you need to send salam unto the prophet Muhammad (SAW) 3rd) you need to have an attentive heart and 4) you need to make the dua focus on how it will affect your akhira as well as how it affects your dunya. but if we don't start by praising Allah and sending salam unto Rasulullah (PBUH) and if we make it more about this world, such as by praying for the death of a tyrant, is it still accepted? i have gotten into the habit of making extra long introductions for duas, so I often dont even make dua.....except the few times i do, i make it as intense as possible and pray for everything I want.....all at once....is this a mistake?
